Family vacation
July 2005

In Summer 2001 we went to the Bahamas. We traveled there by aeroplane. Now I’m very scared of aeroplanes (I’d seen on T.V and in films many aeroplanes that had crashed.) Every time I go on an aeroplane I pray a lot that this won’t happen. Thank God it didn’t happen on the way there.
During the holiday we did many things and here are some of them. The first night it was my mum and dad’s anniversary, so we celebrated that. We also thanked God that they had been married for thirteen years.
The only villa I can remember was the one in Abaco. It was wonderful! At the front of our villa was a swimming pool. We visited this swimming pool and April learnt to swim there. It was a wonderful adventure because I got to swim in the deep end.
At the side of our villa was a beach. I was quite young then and it was a big adventure walking through the water and the hot beach like it was a desert. We also went to lots of islands such as Paradise Island, Guana Cay and Hopetown. This was a big adventure trying to find our way about in a country not familiar to us.
Lastly we went to a zoo. It was wonderful to see all God’s creatures, flamingos, parrots, cheetahs and many more. What an adventure! It was one of my best holidays I ever had.
I learnt God will protect you and will be there wherever you are whether you’re in Sweden, America, India, Turkey, Holland or any other country in the world.

In summer 2001 I traveled to the Bahamas with my family.
It was a real adventure! It hardly ever rained so we enjoyed the sun a lot. There was plenty of time to go to the beach, which we did often. I also learnt how to swim in the huge swimming pool next to our villa.
I stayed in the Bahamas with my mum, dad, older sister (Tamara) and my younger sister (Olivia). But the most fun thing I did was spend time with my family, God gave us a lovely peaceful time to enjoy together, and kept us safe through out my lovely adventure in the Bahamas!
We also traveled in a semi-submarine for the first time. It was lovely to see all of God’s beautiful creatures at the bottom of the sea.
One of my big memories was the long tiring walk we took to get to the super market. It was like walking through the desert! But thankfully God provided us with water at the cool refreshing market.
We also visited a flamingo zoo. I must say it was rather amazing to see all the flamingos flapping their beautiful wings and making funny noises. We also looked at pigs, colourful parrots and lots of other wonderful creatures of the earth.
I thank God for giving us the opportunity to go on a fun, family adventure!!
