Unwrapping Jesus For Christmas

Recorded on Sunday, January 3, 2010

By the second Sunday after Christmas most people will have opened their Christmas presents and even begun to use or enjoy them.  God's biggest Christmas present was Christ and in him so much was given for us to enjoy.  Francis gets into the spirit of Paul's celebration of grace through Christ and rejoices in the Gospel of how every blessing in the heavenlies has been given.  We are left to unwrap and digest the enormity of God's grace.

Raising Children God's Way

Recorded on Sunday, December 27, 2009

Two days after Christmas 2009, Francis picked up two stories about children and their families found in the Bible to examine some issues concerning child raising and the place of children in our vision.  He begins with young Sam serving the Lord in the Temple and end with Jesus serving his Heavenly Father in the Temple.  Prepare to be surprised at how differently the Bible considered children and their place among God's people.

Christmas Day

Recorded on Friday, December 25, 2009

Church on Christmas Day can be like walking into a Christmas card scene.  We encounter much of the story in Shepherds, Angels, Kings and rustic features of backstreet Bethlehem.  On Christmas Day 2009 Francis picked up the first detail of Luke's Christmas story which surprisingly concerned ancient tax administration and opens up some Gospel that is still cause for joy today.
