Preacher: Francis Noordanus
Scriptures: 1 Corinthians 1:18-25
Introduction:Paul had a tough time with his friends in Corinth. Like all people they tended to make God and the Gospel accomodate their thinking, their values and even their fashions. Some of their fashions were Greek philosophical schools of the time which simply did not agree with what God had done in Jesus on his cross. This message traces a part of Paul's first letter to the Corinthians where he tries to shake them out of their smugness to realise that God's foolishness is as our wisdom.
