What We Were Told To Expect From Jesus As Regards Sin.

Sermon of Sunday, December 11, 2011

Preacher: Francis Noordanus

Scriptures: Isaiah 61:1-2a

In preparing to open up an insight to Isaiah 61:1 Francis traces what was believed and understood concerning sin and its consequences for humanity in the Old Testament.  He examines where this leaves every person now as both victims and villains.  When this is laid next to Isaiah 61:1 and Luke 4:18 it becomes clear that Jesus was more concerned with liberating victims than punishing villains.
