Reformation Sunday #500

Sermon of Sunday, October 29, 2017

Preacher: Francis Noordanus

Scriptures: Romans 1:16-17

Introduction:

500 years to the week after Martin Luther nailed his 95 'Theses' or points of dispute on the door of a church in Wittenberg, we consider what led up to that moment and what had set him in motion. We consider the man and why he was the one to hatch an egg others had laid. After looking at his inspiration in scripture we join in an English translation of a hymn he wrote to declare his trust in God.
