Hi my name is Joyce, I was born and raised in a Seventh-day Adventist family and we honored the Sabbath and worshiped on Saturday. At the age of 13, I went to an Anglican founded high school where I joined the Christian fellowship in the school.
Later on, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. During that time, I understood that salvation was not about works of righteousness, for example, observing the Sabbath etc. as I had been taught, but a free gift from God and all I needed to do was to believe in Jesus Christ.
That step in faith begun my journey of discovering who God is on a personal level and daily trusting in Him. I thank God that he has been faithful through the years that I have known him. He has touched and transformed my family who now no longer Seventh-day Adventists, but also accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour.
I have been a part of Trinity church for a short period of time, but the time I have been here, I have experienced the true love of Jesus Christ amongst his people. I have always wanted to get baptized and when I heard the call for Baptism in made in Church, I knew that I had to be a part of it. I am so grateful to God and to the leaders of Trinity Church for this wonderful opportunity to be baptized. As a follower of Jesus Christ taking part in baptism is one of the ways of confirming my faith in Jesus Christ and also publicly declaring and proclaiming that I believe in Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Saviour. I am glad that finally I have this opportunity to experience this great step of faith in Jesus Christ.
